Despite the illusions…

I was watching a movie one night on some TV channel I caught while channel surfing, a romantic comedy about conquests, and… it’s the most wrong thing I’ve ever seen, and I’m aware of this even at a young age:
“It’s not the man who conquers, initiates, and decides on a relationship; it’s always and solely the woman.”

It goes against “common knowledge,” but it’s the great truth. A man may seem and want to be a conqueror, but it’s an illusion. And adult women (not girls) know this.

A woman may have 1000 men around her, but only the one she decides on, and who may not even be among those 1000 and could be 5000km away, is the one she chooses as her partner (no, my friend, that’s different), even if she only knows the man from a photo and the man doesn’t even know she exists. Whether she chooses well or badly is only up to them.

So, young men, if a woman is interested in you, she could be in China and you in Portugal, but she will find a way to contact you and possibly meet, and she will make a decision that you, as “handsome boys,” will accept and abide by. Some time ago, someone published a picture of a “beautiful” woman leading velociraptors on a leash; that’s exactly what happens.

Harassing, bothering, stalking, and other unhealthy and childish attitudes will never be a solution nor will they positively influence a woman.

What they find on social media, don’t be disappointed… it’s just marketing or venting; only they know the reality.

The reasons for her selection are more complex, ranging from hormonal and social factors to others that only she can (if she wants to) indicate, as it will depend heavily on her ethical and social values. Physical attraction in a woman is not a decisive factor, and in a man, after puberty, it becomes less important as he matures.

Even when referring to normal people, not those with mental illnesses, its duration and quality will also depend on the individual; as my mother once told me: “The man is the head, but we are the neck”; is there anything more to add?

It’s a shame that men live in illusion, but it’s still beautiful. Until then, men, wait and see. For women, simply: make up your minds.
