It is a classic theme of ceremonial magic (theurgy or goetia), present in historical grimoires such as the Key of Solomon, the Lemegeton, or works by authors such as Eliphas Lévi.

Important note:
This is a historical and cultural topic. From the perspective of many religious traditions (Christianity, etc.), such practices are seen as dangerous or condemned. Practicing rituals without deep knowledge can have serious psychological, emotional, or spiritual consequences. What follows is informative, not a practical guide.

Precepts (Principles or Basic Rules)
Occult traditions emphasize discipline, preparation, and respect to avoid imbalances:
Personal preparation — Purification of the body (ritual baths, fasting), mind (meditation, concentration), and environment. The practitioner must have willpower and emotional balance.
Theoretical knowledge — Studying correspondences (astrology, elements, divine names, sigils). Without a foundation, rituals are ineffective or risky.
Protection — Use of a circle of protection, pentagrams, sacred names (e.g., Tetragrammaton), and consecrated tools (sword, chalice, pentacle, wand).
Clear and ethical intention — Defining the exact purpose of the conjuration. Many grimoires differentiate theurgy (invocation of elevated forces for spiritual evolution) from goetia (evocation of inferior spirits for material purposes).
Hierarchy and respect — Entities are treated with authority (not as humble servants nor as gods). Use precise commands and permissions to depart.
Schedules and Correspondences — Perform on appropriate days, planetary hours, and astrological conditions.
Record — Keep a magical diary (Book of Shadows or operations diary) with results, feelings, and lessons.

Dangers
Traditions and accounts highlight real or perceived risks:
Loss of control — The entity may disobey or turn the ritual against the conjurer (obsession, possession, or negative influence).
Psychological consequences — Hallucinations, anxiety, depression, or mental imbalance due to contact with archetypal forces or suggestion.
“Rebound” effects or karma — Undesirable results, especially in conjurations intended for harm or selfish gain.
Opening of portals — Difficulty in “closing” the operation, attracting unwanted influences.
Spiritual dangers — According to religious views, risk of involvement with malevolent entities or straying from higher spiritual paths.
Physical Risks — In extreme (rare) reported cases, exhaustion, accidents, or worsening health due to neglect of the body.
Many experienced occultists warn: “Do not conjure what you cannot banish.”

Historical and Traditional Examples:
Conjuration of Angels (Theurgy) — In the tradition of John Dee and Edward Kelley (16th century), they used crystals and invocations to contact angels. Objective: superior knowledge and wisdom.
Evocation of Goetic Spirits — In the Lemegeton (Clavicle of Solomon), the magician evokes the 72 spirits of King Solomon to obtain knowledge, treasures, or services.
Classic example: invoking Bael or Astaroth with a specific seal, circle, and incense.
Rosicrucian or Golden Dawn Ritual (19th/20th century) — Invocations of elemental forces or archetypes through pentagrams and vibrations of divine names.
Conjuration of Elementals — Invoking gnomes (earth), undines (water), sylphs (air), or salamanders (fire) to work with the forces of nature (Paracelsus and later traditions).
Saint Cyprian (Ibero-American folk tradition) — Mixed conjuration rituals of magic, prayers, and spirits for protection, love, or exorcism.
Maria Padilha (Ibero-American folk tradition) — Mixed conjuration rituals of magic, prayers, and spirits for protection, love, or justice.

Final Summary:
Mystical conjuration requires maturity, serious study, and ideally, guidance from an established tradition (religion, spiritualism, Rosicrucianism, or other). Many modern practitioners prefer more internal paths (meditation, visualization, chaos magic, or psychomagic) to avoid the risks of a literal ceremonial approach.

This is an unusual topic, but after reading literature (available at the Library of Congress in the USA), I conclude that it is very different from romantic and popular “tales.” Mystical conjuration, in the context of occultism and esotericism, refers to the practice of invoking or evoking spiritual entities, spirits, angels, demons, or subtle forces […]

[10

post-1327","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-my-thoughts
["GET
