Therefore, since my time at university, I have been an enthusiast of String Theory and its evolution: M-Theory (I laid the groundwork for it in previously published thoughts).

However, to keep an open and inquisitive mind, nothing is better than also studying other cosmological theories, in order to have additional ideas and also to observe other systems. Thus, I chose for comparison the most organized and accepted occult theory (even with variations in names), Theosophy.

Theosophical cosmology and M-Theory are two systems that seek to explain the fundamental structure of the universe, but they start from very different perspectives: one is esoteric and spiritual (Theosophy), the other is a scientific hypothesis of theoretical physics. Despite this, there are interesting parallels that some authors explore, especially in themes such as vibration, extra dimensions, and the underlying unity of reality.

Theosophical Cosmology (primarily by H.P. Blavatsky)
Modern theosophy, synthesized by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky in works such as The Secret Doctrine (1888), presents an esoteric cosmology inspired by Eastern (Hinduism, Buddhism), Egyptian, Kabbalistic, and Western traditions.
Main ideas:
– Fundamental unity: The universe is a manifestation of a Single Principle (Parabrahman or Absolute), illusory in its multiplicity (Maya).
– Vibration and Fohat: Creation occurs through vibration or primordial sound (the “Word” or Logos). Fohat is the intelligent cosmic energy that transforms divine ideas into laws of nature.
– Planes of existence: The cosmos is seven-dimensional (physical, astral, mental, spiritual, etc.), with increasingly subtle matter. Physical reality is only the densest layer.
– Eternal cycles: Manvantaras (periods of manifestation) and Pralayas (periods of rest/dissolution), as a “Great Breath” of the universe.
– Evolution: Not only of matter, but of consciousness through cycles, root races, and kingdoms (mineral, vegetable, animal, human, spiritual).
– Infinitely divisible matter: Blavatsky rejected the indivisible atom of the science of her time.
This view is holistic, uniting science, religion, and philosophy.

M-Theory
Proposed by Edward Witten in 1995, it is an extension of string theory that attempts to unify all fundamental forces (including gravity) into a “Theory of Everything”.
Main characteristics:
– Fundamental objects: Not point particles, but one-dimensional vibrating strings or membranes (branes) in higher dimensions.
– 11 dimensions: 4 observable dimensions (3 spatial + time) + 7 compactified dimensions (rolled up into minuscule scales, like the Planck scale) or orthogonal dimensions.
– Vibration: The mode of vibration of strings determines the particles and forces (electrons, quarks, photons, gravitons, etc.). Everything arises from a cosmic “music”.
– Unification: Unites the five versions of superstring theory, supersymmetry, and supergravity. Includes dualities (T, S, U) and concepts like branes.
– Cosmology: Multiverse models, brane collisions (possible origin of the Big Bang), cyclic or inflationary universes in extra-dimensional contexts.
M-Theory is mathematical and still without direct experimental confirmation, but it is the leading current candidate for a unified theory.

Parallels and Points of Contact
Although there is no direct link (Theosophy is from the 19th century; M-Theory, from the late 20th), authors and thinkers note resonances:

Theosophical Cosmology:
Foundation: Single Principle + Vibration (Fohat/Logos) Dimensions:
Multiple planes (7 main planes)
Unity of forces: All forces as expressions of a Single Life
Matter: Infinitely divisible, crystallized from spirit
Cosmology: Cycles of manifestation/dissolution
Reality: Multidimensional and hierarchical

M-Theory / String Theory:
Foundation: Vibrating Strings/Membranes
Dimensions: 11 dimensions (mostly compacted)
Unity of forces: Unification of all fundamental interactions
Matter: Emerges from energy vibrations Cosmology: Cyclic models, brane cosmology, multiverse
Reality: Multidimensional with dimensions Hidden Dimensions

Similar ideas:
Vibration as a creative principle → This is the strongest parallel. In Theosophy, sound/vibration manifests the cosmos; in M-Theory, vibrational modes generate particles and forces.
Hidden Dimensions → Theosophical “planes” resemble the compacted extra dimensions of physics.
Synthesis → Blavatsky advocated for the reconciliation between science and ancient wisdom. Some see in M-Theory a modern echo of this vision (e.g., the Theosophical Society’s “Threads of Unity” article).

Important Differences
Method: Theosophy is based on intuition, esoteric revelation, and spiritual experience. M-Theory is purely mathematical and seeks empirical (though difficult) testing.
Consciousness: Central to Theosophy (consciousness is fundamental). In physics, it is emergent or secondary (although quantum interpretations discuss the observer).
Purpose: Theosophy is spiritual and evolutionary (development of the soul). M-Theory is descriptive of physical laws.

In short, theosophical cosmology offers a mystical and holistic view of the universe as a living and conscious being, while M-Theory proposes a unified mathematical description in a vibrant multidimensional cosmos. The parallels suggest that ancient esoteric intuitions may find echoes in the frontiers of modern science, but remain in distinct domains.

And multiplanar ecology?
In either theory it is possible, as both accept orthogonal, overlapping dimensions, of which we are sensitive to a subset. Examples? My favorite, inhabiting the next higher level (astral/desires) and disembodied:
Maria de Padilla (September 15, 1334 – Seville, July 1361), was the morganatic wife of King Peter I of Castile. The title was recognized after her death at his own request. She was the daughter of Juan Garcia de Padilla and Maria González de Henestrosa, two servants of the royal court. As the mistress of Dom Pedro I, she began to influence him in the most important decisions. It was thanks to Maria de Padilla that Dom Pedro I chose to govern as an autocrat supported by the people.
In mysticism: She is a phalanx of Pombagiras (or Inzilas), spirits of women who lived intense and transgressive lives, returning to help through wisdom and feminine strength, known as “Lady of the Night,” “Queen of the Crossroads,” or “Lady of the Paths.”
Maria Padilha is a complex entity, representing feminine power, freedom, and wisdom to deal with life’s adversities, being a figure of great light and respect in Ibero-Latin spirituality.

As a physicist, I am extremely interested in cosmology, not only in its macro aspect but also in its micro aspect.
